One Punch Hull & East Yorkshire
We set up our charity in memory of Scott Akester who lost his life from One Punch in November 22. He was 31 years old and One Punch caused his death. A punch thrown by a friend.
The charity was set up by Scott’s parents Debbie and Steve Akester and partner Naomi Allen. We raise awareness on the risks of One Punch and the devastation caused for families, offer educational talks in schools, colleges, apprenticeship centres and workplaces, delivering Scott’s Story which takes the audience through the events of that night and the devastation caused to family and friends following one punch being thrown. Lives changed forever, 2 families ruined all because One Punch was thrown by a friend. A split second decision to punch out that could have been avoided. The charity also provide support to families and friends affected by One Punch.
