Play in a Week (Adults 18+): Murder at Midnight

Do you enjoying making theatre, acting, writing and all things creative? Do you want to perform in an original piece of theatre?

A group of friends gather for a weekend retreat. When one of the guests is found dead, the group becomes embroiled in a murder mystery that will test their trust and loyalty. As old grudges begin to surface and secrets are revealed, the group must race against time to discover the killer’s identity.

Over the week you will develop your skills as a theatre maker, you will create interesting characters and dialogue, you will learn key skills of acting and you will finish the week by performing your brand new play to an audience of families and friends!

The project takes place Monday 21st August to Friday 25th August 2023, 10:30am – 4.30pm, every day at Hull Truck Theatre.

This project is for adults. Cost for the week is £65 per participant. We are committed to the idea that finances shouldn’t be a barrier to participation, please get in touch if you would like to discuss reduced prices or bursary places. Contact engagment@hulltruck.co.uk to discuss.

Please arrive 10 minutes early on the first day so that we can fill in emergency information and contact forms. Feel free to bring lunch and refreshments with you.
