SUMMARY:After a 12 Year New York Adventure\, Dani returns for her comeback show\, Anew.
DESCRIPTION:Dani Tersini\, Anew. \nAfter 12 years lighting up the stages of New York City\, songstress and performer Dani Tersini is home. Born and raised in East Yorkshire\, Dani spent time building her craft in the Big Apple. Gracing stages such as The Waldorf Astoria for Fashion Week\, The Society of Ethical Culture with The Quarrymen\, in honour of John Lennon\, and opening up for the folk legend Pete Seeger at The Cutting Room. \nHer song “Act of War” featured Elvis Costello’s band\, and her song “Playerman” was played by Tony Blackburn on the BBC. She embarked on an adventure most musicians only dream of. Now she is back from where she came from\, to perform in her native homeland. \nAnew\, the name of Dani’s show and her new single\, is a sultry aching torch song and reflects that of a new era: one of dreamy\, soulful adventures\, new love and new life. Her voice moves between dreamy and soulful in the same breath\, carrying melancholy warmth through her contralto tones. \nTersini’s musical journey has been one of moving between bold soulful pop songs to poignant\, deep acoustic expressions of spiritual truths\, displaying the diversity of humanity and lived experience within her. She was interviewed on a local TV show in upstate New York upon arriving\, with her songs Religion and Passion. Being a powerful voice and something of an enigma\, her show Cherry Lips Live expresses the other side of daring rebellious diva. \nYou could say that the heart of Dani’s sound is intimacy with backbone. A sound honed over a decade of lived experience. One of searching for deeper truths\, reflection\, yearning\, pain and healing. \nShe has a way of making a room feel like the most private\, personal place in the world. \nFor this comeback performance\, Dani is thrilled to be sharing her story through an intimate blend of poetic and even mystical songs with East Yorkshire folk ~ the very roots and community that shaped her before her New York adventure. It will be a full-circle moment\, a homecoming and a celebration of a musical warrior who has journeyed to the depths of her soul and back again. \nIf you’ve never seen Dani perform\, this is the show to come to. You’re getting twelve years of stagecraft\, a brand new torch song meant to be heard live\, and the rare kind of energy that only comes from an artist playing for people who’ve known her the longest. This is Dani revealing her own story\, here in Hull\, and you don’t want to miss how it’s written next. \nCome and hear Dani the way she is meant to be heard: live\, close\, and among friends. This is Dani Tersini\, home again\, beginning Anew. And she’s just getting started.
