Fans of the BBC One Yorkshire set cop show are waiting with bated breath

England will be ‘going into lockdown’ again when the series conclusion of Happy Valley airs tonight, joked an avid viewer of the Yorkshire-set crime drama.

Excited fans are waiting with bated breath to see what happens to Catherine, Tommy and Ryan on Sunday night. So far, the BBC One series has attracted a truly spectacular number of viewers with 11.3 million watching the latest series.

Yorkshire Live shared a post on Facebook and reader commented, sharing their love for the show set in Calder Valley, which stars Sarah Lancashire as West Yorkshire Police Sergeant Catherine Cawood, James Norton as Tommy Lee Royce and Rhys Connah as Ryan Cawood.

Carol Douglas said: “The country is about to go into ‘Lockdown’ at 9pm … I’m down to re-watch series one and two on the next few Sunday evenings.”
