The new production is set to start filming tomorrow
Film crews have been transforming Hull’s Old Town for a brand new Apple TV drama set during the Blitz.
Sandbags, old shop fronts and red London buses are among the props for the new production. Streets including Land of Green Ginger and Bowlalley Lane are among those getting a 1940s makeover.
Although details about the drama have been kept under wraps, the production is thought to be Blitz, directed by Steve McQueen and starring Saoirse Ronan. Last year, the city centre was used for scenes for The Crown, set in 1945.

A production base for the new project has been set up in the car park off Walton Street. On Sunday, props such as a red London double-decker bus were being prepared. Filming is due to start on Monday and several roads will be closed.
Filming is due to continue until February 14. A full list of road closures is here.
