The best Fitbit Christmas deals for 2023

It’s all about Christmas right now, but as soon as the presents are unwrapped and the leftover turkey has gone into the last sandwich, many of us turn our attention to the New Year and getting back on the fitness crusade. With Christmas deals now on up and down the UK, it’s as good a time as any to stock up on those fitness gadgets so when January does come around, you’re prepped and ready to hit the treadmill.

A Fitbit is one of the most helpful fitness devices you can have these days. From helping you track steps to heart rate to sleep patterns, as well as much more, they’re a staple for many gym bunnies or even your casual runner. So with the biggest sale of the year underway I had a look at Currys, who now have a selection of Fitbits on sale as part of their Black Friday festivities, to see what the best deal is.

This Fitbit Inspire 3 Fitness Tracker is now £84 making it one of the cheaper Fitbit models, however it does come with some impressive attributes. The Fitbit Inspire 3 has a pretty impressive 10 day battery life so even when you’re sleeping it can still check your heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature and more. There’s also a daily sleep score so you can track just how much rest you’re getting on a nightly basis.

This model, which comes in black, lilac and yellow has been well received by punters with 40 reviews giving it an overall score of 4.5. One customer, who left a five star review, said, “Excellent first fitness tracker. Only feature missing is the ability to track via GPS but being a cheaper model I wouldn’t expect that. Brilliant charge time and last about 10 days.” while another simply said in her five star review, “Good Points: Easy to use and water proof. Improvement Points: Nothing”

The Versa 4 Smartwatch priced at £179, has built-in GPS that tracks your real-time pace and distance and you can also use Google apps like Google Maps and Google Wallet on it. It features six plus days of battery and contains a quick 12 minute charge while Amazon’s Alexa is also built in meaning you can ask your fitbit questions, set alarms and check the weather conditions.

It’s rated at 4.5 out of 26 reviews with many positive, however some customers have complained about its compatibility with music apps. One reviewer, who did leave a five star review, said, “Good Points: good battery, pretty small design, changeable easy bracelets. Improvement Points: no music control no Spotify support” while another added, “Good Points: Reliable/fast and far easier to use and sync than previous models. Improvement Points: No local music storage, ridiculous!”

The Versa 4 Smartwatch Sports Pack is on the more expensive side but is ranked at four stars out of several reviews and is £149 reduced from £179 for Black Friday. So, why is the Versa 4 pricier? Well, you can check when you’re ready for a workout or a recovery day with Daily Readiness Scores, which requires a Premium membership*.

The Fitbit also uses insights such as activity, sleep, and heart rate and it will also suggest workouts and a daily Active Zone Minutes goal. There are also over 40 exercise modes, including traditional activities such as strength training and golf and the more slightly challenging, such as kayaking. It comes with a built-in GPS so you can track how many miles you’re running or walking, and it’s also designed to be thin and lightweight.

A five star reviewer said, “Does what it says on the box” while another added, “Everything is easy to understand”. It also comes in Pink Sand and Copper Rose for the same price.

The Charge 6 Fitness Tracker comes with many similar features to the Inspire 3, only it also comes with seven days of battery life as well as a heart and oxygen monitor and a daily sleep score tracker. You can see how you’re dealing with day to day stressors with the daily personalised stress management score too.

However, where the Charge 6 stands out is how it can inform you of any irregular heart rhythms and see your heart rate in real time when you connect Charge 6 to your favourite compatible exercise machines – like treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, exercise bikes and more.

As well as its 40 exercise modes and SmartTrack tech which helps it track your movements automatically, it’s also water resistant meaning you can track your lengths in the pool. You can get the Charge 6 for £119 down from £139.99. It also features YouTube Music controls allowing you to DJ your workouts right from your wrist with YouTube.

The Charge 6 can also be connected to Google Maps and Google Wallet when a Bluetooth phone is within range.

The Sense 2 Smartwatch was £219 and is now £179. It contains an all-day body-response tracking and checks with you so you can pin-point stress factors. It also offers guided breathing, exercise, meditations and you can keep on top of your heart rate with the ECG app (available in selected countries) so you’ll get a notification if it’s too high or too low. As with the Versa 4 there is the Amazon Alexa function, as well as linking to several Google apps.

There’s also the Fitbit Luxe Activity Tracker at Currys priced at £129.95. This includes five days of battery life, it’s compatible with iOS 15 or higher & Android OS 9.0 or higher, features a sleek Design, stress management tool and a sleep tracker & score so you can assess just how much sleep you’re getting overnight.

Every Fitbit device comes with six months of Fitbit Premium*. Premium gives access to energising workouts led by Fitbit’s trainers. Use your Daily Readiness Score to optimise your routine and get recommended workouts based on your score.*
